Watering Place, Rugby School and Nottingham Arts Centre, UK, May 1973.

This action, for two participants, was one of many that had a ritualistic narrative structure.  It was presented at a number of venues including Rugby School and Nottingham Arts Centre. Charles Garrad and I were the “performers”. The score, written in January 1973, is included below. Those who came to watch the action seemed to find it engrossing, intense, thought-provoking and humorous. As with other actions there was a sense of absurdity – an odd echo of childhood enactment games and rituals.
